Re: Board of Directors Open Positions
The end of this fiscal year is quickly approaching and two NCED Board of Directors members will be rotating off at the end of June. We will be seeking new Directors to fill a three-year term which will begin July 1, 2024 and end June 30, 2027.
Directors must be flexible and available to meet at regularly scheduled times and impromptu meetings necessitated by something unexpected. They may be asked to travel to attend periodic face to face meetings (flights/mileage and hotel are reimbursed by NCED); most meetings are held virtually. Directors are expected to spend approximately 10 hours per week taking care of assigned duties and responsibilities; some weeks less time is required, some weeks more is required. They must stay current with the email address associated with their assigned position as certificate holders at large send frequent emails and email is the primary mode of communication for the Board of Directors.
If you are interested in serving as a Director, you must be an active certificate holder and submit ALL of the following:
- Letter of interest that includes why you want to serve on the Board
- Resume/CV
- Two (2) letters of recommendation; both must be from NCED stakeholders.
Send the required documents in one email to NCED Vice Chair, Michelle Norwood, at: vicechair@ncedonline.org. Applicants who send emails with missing documents will not be considered. The deadline for sending application documents is April 15.
Each applicant will be contacted by a Director to schedule an interview following the close of the application window.
