In this article, the authors elaborate on identifying evidence-based programs and practices to teach students with disabilities. Based on the federal laws (NCLB, 2006 and IDEA, 2008), the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), along with the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), they develop guidelines for teachers about which evidence-based programs, practices, and strategies to use with the students.
